Can I use TV-Out with my 6th generation iPod touch and my 32-inch Toshiba LEDTV?

So for Christmas my dad got me a 32GB 6th generation iPod touch and a 32-inch Toshiba LEDTV, I was wondering if there was any way to use these two devices, with audio/video output to my TV (because it has a much larger screen)?

iPod touch, iOS 9.2

Assuming the TV has an HDMI input use an adopter like

You can also get an Apple TV and connect that to the TV via HDMI and use AirPlay
