Apple Watch doesn't detect my wrist.

For some reason my Apple Watch doesn't detect my wrist, therefore I don't receive any notifications unless it's a call, the Activity app doesn't detect standing and the Workout app stops.

My iPhone 6s and Apple Watch are up to date (iOS 9.2 and WatcOS 2.1).

I have paired and unpaired the Watch, I have check the settings to make sure that wrist detection is on.

I have come to the conclusion that what fails is the wrist detection because the only time my notifications work is when I turn off the detection but Activity work doesn't work properly like this and it's basically one of the reasons why I got the Watch.

The only time that the detection worked was when I restored the watch and opted not to install third-party apps but it stopped working right after I took the Watch off just for the sake of it I restored the Watch a second time but it didn't work anymore. If nothing works I'll try to get the Watch replaced.

Hi

Check that you are wearing your watch snugly on the top of your wrist and that the back of your watch is clean and dry (try cleaning it using a nonabrasive and lint-free cloth).

With Wrist Detection enabled, your watch can become locked if it believes that it has been removed from your wrist. Wrist tattoos may also impact sensor performance.
