Edits disappear on Pages when emailed from new IPad Air

I use my iPad and Pages to edit for a publisher. I then email the edited documents, then send a second email with the changes accepted so the documents are ready to be published. I also occasionally convert the Pages documents to Word and email them with no problem. I bought a new IPad Air last week and edited a book on it. When I sent the edited version to the publisher they couldn't see any of my edits. I converted to Word and they still couldn't see them. I sent the document by Dropbox and they could see them but when they tried to convert the document to use, the edits disappeared. I tried to send from my old IPad and the same thing happened. I eventually sent from my Mac and they received the document intact. All the documents are stored in ICloud, accessible from all my devices. The edited version showed up on all of my devices. All my software is up to date. I bought the IPad Air to be able to edit when I travel. I didn't have any issues before I purchased the Air. What could be the new glitch
