Hi Josh,
It sounds like what is happening with your iPad is that it has completed the update process for all of these apps (as evidenced by the fact that when you open the apps they show they are the most current version) but the App Store still is showing updates available on its icon. Is that right?
Since you have already tried restarting the iPad, with no change, the next step would be to quit all apps on your iPad. Use the steps in this article - Force an app to close in iOS
If the issue continues, you may need to delete each of these apps and reinstall them.
Delete music, movies, apps, and other content from your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch
Specifically -
Delete an app
Remove an app using the steps below:
- Tap and hold on the app until it jiggles.
- Tap the
in the upper-left corner to delete.
You might be asked to confirm that you want to delete the app. If you see a pop-up that says, "Deleting [app name] will also delete all of its data," tap Delete.

Download your past purchases
Redownload an app
On an iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch
- Tap App Store.
- On an iPhone or iPod touch: Tap Updates, then tap Purchased.
On an iPad: Tap Purchased. - Scroll to find the app that you want to download.
- Tap the Download icon
. After the app downloads, you can open it from your Home screen.
On a Mac or PC
You can redownload apps for iOS devices in iTunes and apps for you computer in the Mac App Store.
From iTunes:
- Open iTunes.
- Click More
in the upper-left corner. - Choose Apps
from the menu. - If prompted, sign in with your Apple ID and password.
- Under Quick Links on the right side of the App Store, click Purchased.

- Select Not in My Library to view purchased content that isn't on your computer.

- Scroll to find the item that you want to download.
- Click the Download icon
in the upper-right corner of the item you want to download. Your app downloads to your library. If an app is already in your library, the Download icon won't appear.
