My computer receives e-mails but does not send them, despite appearing in the 'sent' box. Each of the 'sent' e-mails has an icon in top rh corner which initially was a bullseye and now appears to be an image of a record. I cannot find out how to delete!

Hi

My macbook pro seems to have two problems, which may be interlinked.

Although I am receiving e-mails, the ones I am sending have not been received by the addressees. They appear in my 'sent' box but do not appear to go from my computer.

In addition, an icon of a 'bullseye' has been appearing in the top rh corner of the e-mails - this has today changed o an icon of a 'record'.

Until today I have been unaware that e-mails have not been received and now need to urgently send the 'missing' e-mails.

Our server is Giacom but I have checked this online and can send direct from the server so I assume problem is with the computer itself.

Any assistance gratefully received - I can find nothing online which deals with this problem.

Many thanks

Moira
