If your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch doesn't respond or won't turn on - Apple Support

I am using ipad 2 (last install was iOS 8) and could not boot it up.. I followed the instruction in the link above and got to step 3, choose "Update" so that I can preserve my contents in the ipad.. The pop up window show the downloading of the iOS 9.2 (1.32GB) with estimated time 2 hr! The software download runs well but gets terminated after about 15 min, as the link above states. I have to repeat the process 2 & 3. Each time I repeat, the downloading starts from 1MB, and therefore could not be completed in 15 min. The best it can achieve is only 200MB.

Is there any way I can download the iOS 9.2 without being terminated after 15 min? Appreciate your advice .

Greetings esteebe,

If you are having an issue such as this with doing an over the air Wi-Fi update of your iPad, you may want to instead use iTunes on a computer to complete the update. Use the steps in this article - Update the iOS software on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch

Specifically -
Update your device using iTunes
If you can’t update wirelessly, you can update with iTunes. If your computer uses the Personal Hotspot on the iOS device that you’re updating, connect your computer to a different network.

Install the latest version of iTunes on your computer.

Connect your device to your computer.

Open iTunes and select your device.

Click Summary, then click Check for Update.

Click Download and Update.
