How to open .elf files on Mac
Can't ope .elf file.
iMac (21.5-inch Mid 2011), OS X Yosemite (10.10.3)
ELF files cannot be opened on a Mac unless they're game files for the Nintendo Wii, at least according to the research I've just done.

.elf files can be several different things. The can be a Linux executable,
a loader format file for embedded devices, Nintendo, etc. What is it supposed to be for?
It is a file to upgrade firmware in a moultrie M100 trail camera. I was told to put clean sd card in my welkin card reader and drag file to sd card. still doesn't work.
you may need to format the card on the camera
or see if it's right protected.
is the firmware from the developer?
I thank everyone for your help. I have managed to put the .elf file on an sd card and put in in the camera but it won't open. I assume the firmware is from the developer. I will keep trying to to find a solution. I thank all of you for helping.
