Pages quit unexpectedly

Just upgraded to El Capitan and upgraded Pages to v5.6.1, now every time I try to open the program I get an error saying "pages quit unexpectedly" then a reopen prompt. When I reopen it just does it all again. When I quit and try and open it quits again. I have shut down and restarted, uninstalled and reinstalled pages, and it still does it. HELP!

iMac, OS X El Capitan (10.11.2)

It still crashes when holding down the shift key when opening. There is an error log that pops up. I have removed any extra fonts that I had installed via Font Book...still the same thing happening. As for the boot drive? No idea...I have tried opening it from Application in Finder. Also have it on the dock, either way I am still getting the same result.

Boot into Safe Boot Mode.

  1. Power down your Mac.
  2. Power button, and immediately press and hold the shift key until you see a gray, horizontal progress bar. It will be slower to boot.
  3. You will be brought to a login promp, and in the upper-right corner, you will see Safe Boot.
    1. After you type your password, press and hold the shift key again, before you click the right-arrow to login in.
    2. Continue to hold the shift key down until your Desktop icons have repainted. Safe boot mode will be sluggish because several System drivers are not loaded.
    3. Try launching Pages. Any change?
  4. At this point, you have cleared and rebuilt your System, and local User font databases.
  5. Reboot normally

Does Pages now launch properly?
