USB - C not reading Logitech camera

Does any one know how I can get the USB - C on the new MacBook (version, El Capitan 10.11.2) to read a Logitech camera (c930e)? I talked with a tech at Logitech and he said their tech doesn't compute with the new USB - C for the new macs. This stinks because the camera on the new mac is lame. Need a camera to record 1080.

Thanks for your help!

Sounds like Logitech is telling you there is a conflict between your new MacBook and their camera. You can easily eliminate all these problems by using a camcorder for your 1080p recording and importing the results into your Mac if desired.

A wide range of 1080 camcorder brands and prices is available. Here is one example you can consider if it meets your needs.

Not only does using a stand-alone camcorder eliminate your connection problems, depending on your specific video application, using the camera separately may also be safer then having your Mac tethered to an external camera during all your video recording.

Thanks for the input. I agree that camcorder is a great alternative, but was hoping to stay under $200 for one. I did get the Apple USB - C Adapter (single output) because somewhere I read that it is backward compatible and reads USB 2 and 3 (A & B). I was connecting Logitech camera into the USB-C Digital AV Multiport Adapter. Maybe this will work? Thoughts?

Thanks!
