Jan 4, 2016 6:54 PM in response to lazylamphatby VikingOSX,I don't know what is wrong with your Mac, which is why I suggested a visit to the closest Apple service location. The solution may be trivial, or involved, and since I cannot look over your shoulder, local assistance is advised.

Jan 5, 2016 12:38 AM in response to lazylamphatby chroot,1. Reset NVRAM to clear the most recent kernel panic.
How to Reset NVRAM on your Mac - Apple Support
2. Test if the issue happens in Safe mode by holding down the Shift key when the startup chime sounds.
Try safe mode if your Mac doesn't finish starting up - Apple Support
If safe mode loads, your issue is related to third party software.
3. Boot to recovery mode by holding down Command + R when the startup chime sounds. Use Disk Utility to verify (First Aid on 10.11.x) the disk. If there are no errors on the disk then reinstall OS X. If there are errors on the disk, pay close attention to the reports in Disk Utility, it should let you know if the drive needs to be reformatted.
OS X: About OS X Recovery - Apple Support
If recovery mode does not load, try holding down Command + Option + R for internet recovery.

Jan 5, 2016 2:02 AM in response to lazylamphatby chroot,If you erased the startup disk that means you erased the operating system. Use recovery mode to reinstall OS X.
If you did reinstall OS X and it's by default booting to recovery mode, hold down the Option key when the startup chime sounds to load the startup manager then select your startup disk.
