Importing Movies and Music from Home Sharing

I have just got a new Macbook Air.

I have set it up so that iTunes has Home Sharing switched on

On my home based iMac I have homesharing and I use an apple TV. I watch my entire movie and music library through my apple TV and home sharing.

I would like to sync my new mac book air using home sharing so that I can take SELECTED movies and music on the go without having to manually copy them over.

I'd like to use home sharing to download the selected movies and music to my new mac.

How do I do this?
