Q: My iPad doesn't play sounds unless from siri or notifications

I have an iPad air with iOS 9.1, and whenever i try to do anything that would make a sound there is just a modem buzzing sound unless Siri or a notification makes the sound

I understand that the sound from the speakers on your iPad is distorted unless using Siri. I would start with going through the troubleshooting steps in the article below.

If you hear no sound or distorted sound from your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch speaker
