I had to downgrade so my drivers would work again on my Tascam board for protools. Now my Tunes will not open until I upgrade 10.7.5 but my mac stops updating when a error comes up saying file is corrupt?

Once the library file has been opened by a newer iTunes version it can no longer be opened by the older version.  Lion will not support the newest iTunes so you will have to use iTunes 12.2 or lower and also rebuild your library file so it can be opened:

    ASC user turingtest2 help document: Empty/corrupt iTunes library after upgrade/crash - https://discussions.apple.com/docs/DOC-6561

If you don't see your content after updating iTunes  - https://support.apple.com/kb/HT203225

If you have any i-devices using iOS9 they will no longer sync with anything less than iTunes 12.3 and you will be forced to decide between syncing or using your other equipment. Alternatively go to a more complex solution running two operating system versions.
