Jan 4, 2016 10:36 PM in response to heinekennutby sberman,Here are the basic instructions for your review. Have you literally paired your Apple Pencil to the iPad?

Jan 5, 2016 12:06 AM in response to heinekennutby MichelPM,You may, also, have to pair the Pencil inside of an app that is compatible with Apple Pencil.
Paring a Bluetooth stylus inside of an app requires looking for that App's own settings within the app or looking for some kind of pen/stylus symbol, in the app, that you must tap and there maybe stylus types and pairing options.
Good Luck!

Jan 12, 2016 2:51 PM in response to heinekennutby pamela.parks,I am getting something similar. The pencil is paired... it works to select apps, move about etc. It also works inside Adobe Sketch and Paper. Then I try Notes... the menu showing the drawing tools does not show up. The pencil can pretty much fill in for my fingers but the drawing functionality is not there. I have checked for updates... nothing. Also nothing seems settable in Setttings.

Jan 15, 2016 4:40 AM in response to pamela.parksby pamela.parks,I may have figured something useful out... at least I have it working. Notes has the tools for notes created using my iCloud account but does not for notes using another .mac account. Not sure how things will work going back and forth. It seems odd that I cannot open and edit fully using pencil on both sets using my iPad. I am not too fussed about this as I am not a Notes user... just wanted to play with the pencil.
