Restore eMac to factory settings ?

I have an eMac and I want to restore it to factory settings.
I dont have an installation disc. Please guide me. I want to restore it as it has become very slow and because after the computer boots up, 10-20s after the desktop appears, the colours fade away and there is a certain tint on the screen which hides the real colours.

Please help me, I am sure there must be a way to do it without the disc too.

iMac, Mac OS X (10.4)

To restore the computer to factory settings, follow these steps:

1. Hold Command and R keys while your Mac is starting to start into OS X Recovery, and open Disk Utility.

2. Choose "Macintosh HD" on the sidebar, go to the Erase tab and erase the drive.

3. Close Disk Utility and reinstall OS X. OS X will be downloaded from Apple and installed.

Apart from that, there's also Internet Recovery, available for 2010 and newer Macs. This mode, accessible holding Command, Option (Alt) and R keys while your Mac is starting, downloads Recovery HD from Apple, and it will always reinstall the original OS X version that came with the Mac

If 10.4 you won't have the CMD+r Restore partition to boot to.

Tough without the Install disc, but some things to try...

Does it boot to Single User Mode, CMD+s keys at bootup, if so try...

/sbin/fsck -fy

Repeat until it shows no errors fixed.

(Space between fsck AND -fy important).
