Q: Mail: cannot reply to messages.

iMac 21 inch late 2012. OS X El Capitan.

Mail: Since yesterday I can't reply to messages. First the reply button didn't work. Then I used the right click to reply but now that doesn't work either. An empty mail window appears but I can't do anything with it, not even close it.

Any suggestions? Thnx!

iMac (21.5-inch, Late 2012), OS X El Capitan (10.11.2)

Rapport is not a bug and "getting rid of it" is not a solution. Trusteer Rapport is an important layer of additional security for internet banking.

If the product is indeed interfering with email, this is clearly not good. I have reported this issue to Trusteer.

I'm going to keep Trusteer Rapport running, as my online banking seems to always tell me to use it, but I'm going to see how I get on with just turning Block Screen Capturing to "Never", under the Security Policy tab.

If that doesn't help, then I will turn it off fully until Trusteer release an update.

    Thanks for the help.

I can confirm setting screen capture to "never" works. In discussion with Trusteer tech support, they said they are aware of the issue and working to fix it. Until then, the screen cap policy is the easiest workaround.

Click on System Preferences and Trusteer Endpoint Protection should appear on the bottom right.  Click on it and then select the tab Security Policy.  Type in the letter requested by the "user approval" screen to access the settings and you'll find "Block Screen Capturing" at the bottom.  Set this to "Never".

I Just did this and it solved the problem.  I've had the problem since I upgraded to El Capitan a few weeks ago but have only just gotten around to checking for a solution with the Apple Support Community.  Thanks guys!
