Q: wi-fi connectivity issues
Hello,
In my house a number of apple devices that connect wirelessly to either an airport or to other wifi device. The issue i am facing is with the macbook pro only. Every few minutes it loses its internet connectivity without losing the wifi connectivity. It is able to sustain excisting connections (e.g. teamviewer) but not to make new ones. It can ping the gateway but no further. If i try to disconnect and reconnect to the same wifi device, or to different one (really makes no difference), then the issue is resolved for a small period of time.
I tried resetting the PVRAM but that did not help.
Any ideas what could be or what i could try?
Thank you.
MacBook Pro (15-inch Mid 2010), OS X El Capitan (10.11)

Hello vasileiosg,
I understand that you are experiencing issues with Wi-Fi on your MacBook Pro. Let's go over some troubleshooting to get this sorted out.
The first thing I would try is using Wireless Diagnostics when you run into the issue again. This will scan your current setup and make suggestions on what to do to resolve it. Take a look at the first article below for more details.

Now if it continues, another troubleshooting option is to create a new network location for your Mac. This is typically used for people who have different setups for connecting to the internet but is also good for isolating Wi-Fi configurations. Open up System Preferences and click on Network to get you started. Look at the article below to walk you thorough in detail to create new location. Once it is set, test out connecting to your Wi-Fi connection to see if it just stops accepting new traffic like before.
