My 27" iMac (late 2014) at work shipped without a stand as we purchased it to go straight onto the wall, however we're having a layout shuffle and I could do with getting the original stand but I'm at a loss for what to search for. Any ideas?
Your computer cannot be changed to add the stand without major surgery. The mounts used since 2012 are integrated into the case of the iMac, this means in order to change to a traditional stand your computer will have to have the whole case replaced. Take the machine to an Apple Store or Apple Authorized Service Provider for an estimate of cost.
Since your Mac came with a VESA mount, I'd suggest you just change from a wall mount to a desk mount system. You can find them anyplace that sells VESA mounting systems.
