Garageband iPad-MacBook

I bought and installed Garageband on my MacBook and it works just fine. I made some songs and played some of the lessons, very helpful. Just recently I bought an iPad Air as well and installed Garageband on it. But when opening the app I see a completely different interface and I can't fine any of the lessons. I am a bit confused now. Did I miss something?

For both I have the latest versions of the OS installed. I did a clean install lately on my MacBook and a clean install on the iPad Air just after I bought it. Thanks in advance.
