Q: Can't boot to Mac after formatting partition from Windows

Can't boot to mac after bad formatting partitions from windows.

After installing windows from mac I've created aditional third partition for data. It was in hfs+ and I needed it in ntfs. The structure of partitions was (Macintosh HD) - (Data) - (BOOTCAMP). Then I decided to format it to ntfs from windows and, unfurtunately, I did bad thing - after dropping Data partition, I dropped as well two small hidden partitions without names in widnows disk manager - (about 200MB) before Windows partition, and another (about 620MB) between Mac and Data (for now I assume that was AB00 Recovery HD). After all of this I can only boot Windows.

Is it possible to fix this somehow without deleteing windows and reinstalling everything with internet recovery?

diskutil list

diskutil cs list

gpt -vv -r show /dev/disk0

fdisk /dev/disk0

Thanks!

No, repairs log still has message that 'disk1s2 (which should be OS X)' cannot be repaired when it is in use

If you have an external disk on which OSX can be installed via Internet Recovery - How to install OS X on an external drive connected to your Mac - Apple Support - then we can boot from it and check why the disk is in use. The other option is to revert your CS volume to JHFS+ and see if the repair will succeed.

Also I've tried 'diskutil unmount /dev/disk1' and after that repairDisk passed without 'The volume disk0s2 cannot be repaired when it is in use' but that didn't help - there is still only windows available on boot

Can you use Can't resize Macintosh HD partition (Page 3) and mount your EFI Partition? Let us check what you have in there.

Can you back up OSX using Time Machine? Once you have a backup, re-install OSX (it will not affect any of your non-OSX files) and test.

That's good idea, I was actuallay thinkg to ask you is that possible to reinstall mac os or clone botcamp with something like win.clone from live mac os from usb, because the only thing that's importatn for me here is windows - I've spent a loof of time to configure all the thing there and don't want to do that again and there are noting usefull for the moment on mac so I don't even need time machine backup.

So I've tried to reinstall Mac OS form internet - and that also failed http://imgur.com/a/9hcxE with message 'the disk cannot be used to startup your computer'. I've found this 'solution' Installer reports "OS X could not be installed on your computer" or "This disk cannot be used to start up your computer"… but wasn't able to shrink Mac paratition as it proposed in that post. The problem is that in post they use old version of disk utility and I already has never one (as I remember v15) and there any manipulations with partitions ends up with creation of new one, and it fails with error that it's 'to small ... ' Maybe there is a way to resize Mac partition from terminal, if that what should be done to fix installation issue?

Also what I've noticed now and what I'm not really happy about - now it takes exactly 30 secs on boot from apple sound to windows loading start. Is there any way to check what is it waiting for?

there are nothing connected to notebook. As I remember that stated from the moment when I've boot first time from Mac OS installed on USB, but I'm not 100% sure

And what's about reinstalling Mac OS?

Re-installing OSX wil not change your Windows startup. Can you disable wifi as a test and see how long it takes?

It takes same 30+ secs. I tried with 'minimal' safe boot option from msconfig/boot tab
