Q: i have created a icloud account with my ipod but it wont let me sign into icloud with my windows pc

I have an ipod touch 4th gen. And i set up an icloud account with 6.1.6 ios and i am trying to sign in with my apply id with icloud on my laptop that is a windows 8.1 what did i do wrong or have i not the right thing?
