Q: iPod won't connect to iTunes
I got an iPod 6 for Christmas and it was connecting fine to iTunes and I had synced it etc. The past week it hasn't been connecting to iTunes, it will charge when I plug it in to my laptop. However, iTunes doesn't automatically load up anymore and my iPod isn't in the corner so I can't transfer any music or sync my iPod at the moment. I've tried uninstalling and then reinstalling it again but that didn't work.
Any advice would be appreciated. Thank you! X

What OS and version?
What version of iTunes is installed?
If a PC does it appear in My Computer?
If you don‘t see your connected device in iTunes for Mac
Or
First:
iTunes: Fix iPhone or iPod Not Detected in Windows 10
next try
iPhone, iPad, or iPod not recognized in iTunes for Windows
- I would start with
Removing and Reinstalling iTunes, QuickTime, and other software components for Windows XP
or
Remove and reinstall iTunes and related software components for Windows 7 and later
- New cable and different USB port
