Jan 5, 2016 1:50 PM in response to stagfieldby Limnos,★Helpful12.2.2 is not the latest version. If you are running an OSX version prior to 10.8.5 it is the latest version for you. If you upgrade to iOS9 and do not upgrade your OSX first you will be locked out of syncing to your iPad because it will forever require iTunes 12.3 or higher.

Jan 5, 2016 1:57 PM in response to Limnosby stagfield,Thanks Limnos. So, if I understand correctly, I need to upgrade my OS on my desktop in order to be able to run ITunes 12.3 so I can upgrade my Ipad to IOS 9.2. Correct?

Correct, though people were complaining earlier they could upgrade their i-devices using older iTunes and then would discover they could no longer use the device with their computers. For some that meant buying a new computer.
El Capitan is one upgrade option but I would review first before installing it. Jumping several system versions (10.7 --> 10.11) like that can sometime result in marked slow down of the computer as well as requiring purchase of additional RAM and newer software versions. We don't even know if your computer can be upgraded.

Jan 5, 2016 6:50 PM in response to Limnosby stagfield,Thanks. My problem is I have apps like photoshop 6, that don't behave with El Capitan and I don't want to go to adobe subscription. What I am thinking is to add an additional HD to my desktop and put El Capitan on it as an additional startup disk, which I would use with ITunes 12.3 for my Ipad and IPhone.
