How to record computer system sounds using Logic Pro X

Hi all,

I am looking to record system sounds (from my computer) directly into Logic Pro X and am having no luck. I just tried Soundflower and it did not work well at all. I'm looking for the easiest possible solution to (what I thought) was a simple problem.

Thanks so much,

Jeff

Soundflower works fine. Attached is a link to the version that runs on the latest OS's

A./ You can follow the instructions on creating a multiple-out device...as described in the link below as well.

or

B./ you can assign the system output to soundflower.

Then in logic you have do do three things...

1/ Preference-audio ( set input to sound flower and output to built in output or whatever you are using)

2/ create an audio track in Logic and assign its input channel to sound flower.

3/ record enable the track or turn on input monitor for the track and you will hear your system output.

press record to record what you are hearing.
