I just changed my telephone number, now I am unable to send an imessage and my previous phone number is still listed.

I just changed my cell phone number, now I am unable to send an imessage and my previous phone number is displayed. How do I change this?

see the UNlink section first then link your new one > Link your iPhone number and Apple ID to use iMessage and FaceTime - Apple Support
