Hi.....I recently upgraded to an iPhone 6s with verizon as my carrier. At first the text message alerts and ring tones worked. And now they don't. I am not in sleep mode. My volume is turned way up. And my notifications are all turned on. I have performed a soft and hard reset. Any ideas?

I understand that you are having issue with your iPhone and it not sounding off the alerts or ringtones. Let's see of we can figure out what is going on.
I know you have done some troubleshooting before hand, but the other thing to look at is the Side switch. When looking at it, if you see orange then your iPhone is set to silent. Take a look at the article below that will talk to this type of issue.

That is strange that everyhitng else but the text tones and notification aren't showing up. I would look at Settings > Notifications and look at your settings their to ensure that they are set correctly.

If that doesn't work, then I would try a reset all settings on your iPhone. It will not erase any content but will put everything back to a default. Then make the adjusts needed and the see if the sounds come back.

Hi Norm......No, the mute button isn't on 🙂 I am getting sounds from everything else and it does seem now that the phone ring is working. The only thing that doesn't work is iChat....I can send and receive but don't receive any notifications of a text and it is no longer pushed to my home screen as it was before. I do have push notifications turned on. Thanks for any help you can give. Lisa
