    Hey bigscooter23,

Sorry to hear about your situation between you and your wife. I understand that you both were using your Apple ID for purchases and you want to create an iCloud account for her. Let’s go over what you can do to get her going.

The first place to start is to see how her content is stored on her iPhone. For items like contact, calendars and notes, that would be stored either on her iPhone or on a syncing service like iCloud. If it is on her iPhone, then it is a matter of creating an iCloud account and signing in. When she does this, it will merge that information. The iCloud account will be there to sync her the contacts, calendars and notes. It will also backup her messages so she does not lose those. Take a look at the first article to walk her through creating an iCloud account.

    Set up iCloud

Now if the contacts, calendars and notes are on your iCloud account, then it would be a matter of signing of iCloud. She would be prompted to keep or delete the data. Obviously we would keep and then we just follow the steps from the previous article. Take a look at the next article for more details on signing out of iCloud.

Now when it comes to the purchases, they are going to be tied to your Apple ID. That it something that can’t be transferred to another Apple ID. She would need to purchase and download her own content. She can do that with her iCloud account as that will also work for the iTunes Store. The main thing is to make sure that she is signed into her account in all the places that she would use her Apple ID. Take a look at the final article to walk her through that.
