AE, external hard and iTunes

I am on El Capitan [version 10.11.2]. I use an Airport Extreme connected to a Motorola Modem. I connected a WD external hard drive which contained my iTunes library to the Airport Extreme and it worked for about two weeks. I can no longer find the AE on my Macbook and subsequently do not have access to the hard drive and my iTunes library. How do I get the AE and hard drive to show on my Macbook?

Hey wmsandwms,
I understand that you are not able to see your Airport Extreme on your MacBook. There are a few things that you can try to get it working a gain.
Now troubleshooting an Airport in general falls into 3 categories. A hard reset, a soft reset and a Factory default reset. Take a look at the article below for more details on this and assistance with choosing the right reset to get it recognized again.
