Apple Music without syncing existing music across devices.

Hi There

So i have hundreds of songs in iTunes stored on my Macbook and I make playlists of the moment and add them to my iPhone for car trips/gyming etc.

Now, I want to use apple music on both devices. When i activated it, it synced all the music on my Macbook with my iPhone -- my iPhone is only 16GB so it can't handle all of it so I cleared it all off and turned off iCloud Music Library on my phone. But now, I can't create playlists from Apple music or use the play offline option on my iPhone-- how can i use apple music properly on both my Macbook and my iPhone without all my previously downloaded music syncing across devices?

Any help would be appreciated!!!

MacBook Pro (13-inch Mid 2012), OS X Yosemite (10.10.5)

Hey SAfricanSally,
I understand that you would like you sue Apple Music on your iPhone to get the playlist that you have made on your Mac. That is something I can help you out with.
Depending on how much music you need, you should be able to use iCloud Music Library and then download the content that you want. Then you should be able to listen to the playlist that you have created. Now keep in mind that you can stream this music but if you need to make it offline, you will need to pick and choose the content wisely with the limited amount of storage you have on your iPhone. Take a look at the articles below for more details.
