Q: Loud fan problem when using Windows 7 Ultimate (Boot Camp) on Macbook Pro
Hello,
I have installed Windows 7 Ultimate using Bootcamp on my Macbook Pro mid-2012 13" i7 2.9GHz 750GB HD 8GB RAM a week ago. I have installed the apple-drives that was created by Boot Camp.
Everytime I open Windows 7, after 5-10 minutes the fan kicks up suddenly and becomes very loud, and the computer body gets quite hot. It continues doing so for a long time and stops suddenly, and starts again after few minutes. Sometimes, even when the computer is idle, the fan is very loud! I check Task Manager repeatedly, and the CPU isage is usually at 10% (at max 30%) and Physical Memory 30-45%.
I mostly use Windows 7 for coding in Octave. At one time, I have at most Octave, few browser pages, and some PDFs open.
When I am running OSX, the computer is fine; the fans are silent and the body is normal temperature.
I have no idea why this is happening. I hope you can help me.
MacBook Pro, OS X El Capitan (10.11.1)
