iCloud DNS bypass

Hi

I have returned from a holiday and turned my wifi on. My iphone attempts to connect but immediately brings up a logon page from iCloudDNSbypass.com. There is no space to log in but a request for donations. What on earth is this? And how do I get rid of it?

My macbook connects to the wifi fine. My iphone was working perfectly on wifi on holiday.

Prior to going away I had encountered DNSunlocker adware on both my macbook and iphone despite been strict about downloading and memory sticks. I am based in Uganda.

Is this my modem / router? Do I need to buy a new one? How can I avoid this in future?

Thanks

Ger

I'm the developer of iCloud DNS Bypass and want to say that my server have no relations to DNSunlocker adware.

I have no idea why some adware software has put my DNS server numbers / or pass my servers traffic into your router or PC.

You need to remove DNS settings or set up Google DNS instead ( 8.8.8.8 ) into your router, or iPhone Wi-Fi settings.

The problem is not in your device, it is in your router, it has been compromised. Download your latest firmware update for your router, restore your router to factory defaults, apply the firmware update, restore to defaults again, and then set up as normal. That is the easy way. The hard way is to dig through each package on your router/firewall to discover where the problem lay. Just do it the easy way. Then, if you have the ability, block all IP addresses to the Ukraine/Russia regions to ensure it does not happen again.
