Hi everyone!

Now I'm not sure if this is happening due to the fact this macbook was gifted to me and my aunty brought it (possibly from a dud laptop company here in Australia) The laptop is claimed to be refurbished (ect)

Now it keeps restarting itself which is annoying because I'm trying to do some work on it. I clicked open the report and this is what I got:

The nature of a kernel panic invites speculation due to the fact if the memory upgrade

or replacement RAM chips were of lower than adequate quality, when under a load the

system may exhibit kernel panics. There are a few other reasons why this may occur.

• OS X: About kernel panics - Apple Support

To troubleshoot or look into the causes of this situation can be helped if you study...

• Technical Note TN2063: Understanding and Debugging Kernel Panics:

https://developer.apple.com/library/mac/technotes/tn2063/_index.html

The information in the report you supplied indicates there is a possibility of KP due to

hardware issue, and sometimes it may be due to the Graphic card in certain portables.

Or RAM of inadequate quality even though the general specs appear to be correct.

An appointment with an Apple Store genius could be helpful since they can diagnostic

test the computer (often at no cost to you) and give suggestions on other remedies if

they are required: official Apple Store Genius: https://www.apple.com/retail/geniusbar/

If the computer was an in-shop 'refurbished' or a repaired used model, and if the store

is not an Official Apple retail Store, you may not have much of a warranty. The shop that

sold it may be able to help resolve the issue, or at least test it and give you an estimate.

Most authorized Apple service providers are capable of testing & repair services.

Good luck in this matter! 🙂
