Q: Music pushed from phone to cloud - iPhone 5S, iOS 9.2

I think it might happen when my phone nears full storage capacity, but how can I stop my phone from pushing my iTunes-purchased songs to the cloud?

I'll be at work trying to listen to music and many songs are greyed out because they are on the cloud and when I try to listen to them it says I have to be on wifi.  I found the setting that allows me to stream them over cellular, but I'd rather not use cellular data to stream my own music and reception is terrible at work.  I just want it to stop deleting the songs from my device and if I near full storage, I'll decide how to manage it.

    Hello bduplan,

Thank you for using Apple Support Communites.

It is sounding like you purchase a song from iTunes on your iPhone and that song is added to your Apple Music and is not available when you are not connected to Wi-Fi. This is how Apple Music is designed to work. If you have music you want to listen to even when you do not have an internet connection, you will need to download it to listen to offline. This article addresses adding music to your Apple Music catalog, including downloading it to listen offline. Click on the box "Download music to listen to offline" to take you to that section of the article.

Add music from the Apple Music catalog to your library on your iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, Mac, or PC

    Best regards.

I did downloaded them with the itunes app on the phone, but they are songs that were at one time on the phone. This seems to happen from time to time and I have to go back in and download them. Previously, I have done that via the itunes "purchased" page, but I just did what you said. They are on the phone for now, but we'll see how long they stay there. Thanks for the help.
