Q: Problems with my iPad.

When I go to App Store I get the message "Cannot Connect to App Store" and the bottom of the screen is blank.  My wi-fi connection is fine.  I have tried everything that Apple suggested on their website but nothing helps.  I also have problems when going to my bank's website.  I enter the username and then the screen goes blank but the bank's web page never comes back up.

iPad 2, iOS 9.2, wi-fi only

    Start here: If you can’t connect to the iTunes Store - Apple Support

    Turn your device off and back on. If this doesn't help, sign out from your account and sign back in.

     

    Also, you can try resetting your settings.

    • Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button
    • Press and hold on the Home button
    • Keep holding both buttons until the display turns off and back on with Apple logo on it.


    Alternatively, you may go to Settings - General - Reset - Reset All Settings

    Try a hard reboot.  To do this you hold the power button and home button together at exactly the same time for a few seconds.  Wait until your screen goes dark then give it a minute to power back up.  Sometimes it won't power up automatically, in that case just push the power button itself once quickly like a normal power up/down and wait for the logo to appear.  Then try your App Store and web sites again.
