Q: A year of frequent iMac crashes

I've owned my iMac for a little over a year, and for pretty much that entire time it has periodically crashed, sometimes very frequently. Not long ago I upgraded from Yosemite to Capitan, doing a clean install in the process. And yet, here I am with this da** machine still crashing. I am presently running 10.11.2. Can anyone give me useful guidance based upon my most recent crash report? If so, it would be very much appreciated.

post an etrecheck report back here and if you are running any Mac Anti-Virus, Cleaning or anything purporting to maintain your OS remove it and get your money back prior to replying.

Crash plan and Drive are gone. As to the two Adobe agents, they must be part of Creative Cloud, right? Is there a way to remove them without uninstalling the entire program? Thanks so much for your help.

I have CC2015 running (and CS 5 so if you don't have all of these don't panic) and this is what I get back
I believe the 2nd agent from Adobe is the prefs for the Creative Cloud menu but the 3rd may be leftover from a previous instance of Creative Suite or some update mechanism. Either way looking it up is showing pretty much every etrecheck report that was involved with my search terms shows this agent as failed.
Adobe installs no shortage of crap on a mac, that's for sure.

It's unfortunate that you waited until after the one-year warranty had expired to do something about the problem, because the graphics processor is defective and will have to be replaced, probably at your expense. The "etrecheck" stuff is irrelevant.

You'll need a new logic board. If you're very lucky, and you can somehow document the fact the problem manifested itself before the warranty expired, you might be able to get a sympathetic Apple Retail manager to provide the service under warranty. But don't count on it.

Your kernel panic does not indicate any third-party software or hardware issue, so it is likely an internal hardware problem.
A "Page Fault" could be related to RAM, but you appear to have the stock factory RAM, so it is probably something in the logic board.
Take it to an Apple store or authorized repair center for testing.

You could try resetting the NVRAM prior to taking it in, but that will likely not help: How to Reset NVRAM on your Mac - Apple Support

You may want to try running Apple Diagnostics (Using Apple Diagnostics - Apple Support)
to see what you get as a result (this will be the first thing done by Apple service techs anyway)
before making the trip to a repair center.

Hi Linc,
I'm still trying to resolve this, through the Genius bar. They went through their diagnostics and couldn't confirm a graphics processor issue. They subsequently recommended I perform clean install of OS, leaving off the offending programs they had identified. I did this and, not surprisingly, the system still crashes. Can you explain what in the crash report allows you to identify a faulty graphics processor? I can then explain it to them.
