Q: iTunes charged me for free trial Netflix

Hello,

 

 

Netflix is now available in Romania so I've registered for a free month trial. As soon as I completed my registration I noticed that my bank account was charged even tough it said that the first month is free.

I want my money back. This is not fair. What should i do?

    It may just be a hold to verify that your credit card was valid. Otherwise, check with iTunes support to get your question answered. http://www.apple.com/emea/support/itunes/contact.html

    Thank you for your answer ChrisJ4203.

    It's not just a hold. I followed your advice and contacted iTunes support and also Netflix's support.

    First i contacted iTunes support and they've recommended me to ask Netflix if i am eligible for a free trial and if i want a refund my subscription will be canceled immediately . Netflix told me that I am 100% eligible and is not normal that I have been charged. Afterwords i replied back the person who is managing my case at iTunes support and told him what Netflix said and if the only way to get my money back is to loose the whole subscription at Netflix and not benefit from the free trial, then i agree because it supposed to be free.

    In my opinion the purpose of a free trial is to test the services and at the end of it to decide to go on or not with the services if you like them or not.

    So, since Netflix confirmed that i am eligible for a free trial i consider that is not corect to be charged for it.

     

    Now i am waiting for a response from iTunes support.

    I'm having this exact same issue. I signed up for a free trial last night and have been charged. I haven't contacted Netflix yet.... aghhhh so annoying, it makes me so angry!!!

    I got my problem solved by Apple support. They refunded my money back and canceled the subscription.

    Did you have to cancel your subscription.  Is there a phone number or are you using this lame online community to get your questions answered.  I am having the same issue and I want my money back but I want to keep my service.  Who do I need to talk too to get this resolved?  Thanks for your help!
