    From your question, I understand that after installing El Capitan on your Mac, you seem to have lost your Contacts and Calendars. I know this type of situation where some data has gone missing can be concerning and frustrating, but we are here to help!

     

    If you use iCloud on your Mac and iOS devices, my first suggestion to try and recover your Contacts and Calendars would be to make sure iCloud is enabled on your Mac.
