Missing Install Link for Safari Extensions in Gallery

I wanted to install a couple of extensions to Safari on my Mac, but when I use the Extensions gallery via the Safari menu, there is no "install" button or link. I have tried restarting my computer, Safari & checked for latest updates but still no success. I have seen a couple of other people with this problem and it's been hit or miss about solutions. I can't find the extensions on the developers web site, as they usually are promoting their app instead of an extension. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

If you haven't tried booting into the Safe Mode to see if you can install, try that. It has worked for some people.

Thanks, that did the trick. But when I reboot into normal mode the install links are still missing. I'm trying to figure out how to solve this issue not just a workaround. For now it did the job!

You are welcome. When in the Safe Mode, 3rd party software isn't loaded, so perhaps the problem is other software.

Try running this program and then copy and paste the output in a reply. The program was created by Etresoft, a frequent contributor. Please use copy and paste as screen shots can be hard to read.

I had this problem as well. Do you have the free Avast for Mac installed?

In my case I just deleted Avast since I no longer needed it and after restarting Safari the Extension install links came back.

I Didn't have to delete avast security for Mac, but temporarily disabling the shield options and then quitting safari and reopening it did the trick. After downloading the desired extensions I enabled the avast security options again. Thanks for the advice
