Q: Unable to see video clips for import in iMovie

Hi All, this is my first discussion on apple forum so apologies in advance if I do something incorrect.

I am using iMovie for the first time and when I connect my iPhone to my MacBook Air not all of my video clips show up when I press "import".

The video clips are under "videos" in "photos" on my iPhone but only a select few are available to import.

I am operating off OS X 10.9.5.

Any help would be appreciated.

Hi AmyQueensPark,

I see that you are having some issues with your ability to import all of your videos from your iOS device to your Mac for use in iMovie. If all of your videos are not showing in iMovie, you may wish to use Image Capture to try to extract the videos from your iOS device. This option is explained in the following article:
Photos and Image Capture
If you have photos or videos saved on a hard disk or other storage device, you can import them to Photos on your Mac.
If you have photos that were taken with a film camera, you can import them to Photos by converting them to digital files with a scanner. You can also change the date and time of the scanned images in Photos. Select the image and choose Image > Adjust Date and Time.
