Jan 7, 2016 1:05 PM in response to MattJayCby Camelot,I'm confused by your question - or at least by the fact that you appear to answer your own question.

This will open any folder whose name begins with 'Hotfolder' (e.g. 'Hotfolder', 'Hotfolder2', 'Hotfolder backup', etc.). What am I missing?

Jan 8, 2016 1:54 AM in response to Camelotby MattJayC,I've played with it again an I have worked out the issue,
When I type
open ~/Desktop/Hotfolder*
I get
The file /Users/StudioA/Desktop/Hotfolder* does not exist.
The file is a symbolic link. even though with open ~/Desktop/HotfolderA works
Is there a work around to compensate this?
