Monetizing my Podcast

iTunes does not allow podcasts to be charged for in the iTunes Store. The iTunes application does have the facility to cope with password-protected media, so you can do this for subscribers who will have to subscribe manually; but a password protected podcast will not be allowed in the Store (and indeed there is no mechanism for entering the password).

First you need to build an audience.

Then you can monetize via Advertising on your episodes and / or via making some content free / some premium.

These are the two most popular ways for direct monetization.
