Q: Should I use an iPhone 6 or an iPad Air 2 to record audio?

I need to record audio, and I have both an iPhone 6 and an iPad Air 2. I want to edit it on the ipad but i could just send it over from the iPhone if it sounds better. Has anyone used both and knows which one I should use?
