Need help syncing ipod classic

I am having problems with Itunes not syncing with ipod classic. In itunes it shows the ipod yet when I run the diagnostic it say no ipod connected. Also says apple mobile support driver not found, also noted that it says quick time not available. I have spent alot of time trying to figure this out and have uninstalled and reinstalled itunes. At on point it said the ipod was corrupted. I reformated the drive and restored the ipod. It still will not sync music. If you have any idea what I am doing wrong or how to fix this problem I would greatly appreciate any help. Thanks for reading.
