    Tables on the web are actually formatted using a combination of HTML, CSS, and Javascript behind the scenes and therefore can never be expected to copy and past reliably to another destination.  About the best way to do this would be to take a screen capture using keyboard shortcuts:

     

    How to take a screenshot on your Mac - Apple Support

     

    Then, you can insert that screenshot image and resize it as needed in Pages.

    Just another of the many improvements that Apple made in Pages 5.x.

     

    Keep using Pages '09 if you have it.

     

    Screenshots are crude 72dpi pixellated images, not really suited for something that may be printed.

     

    Try printing your web page to pdf and inserting that in Pages.
