Q: Support for widgets?

I love the Dashboard but with upgrade to El Capitan some of the widgets no longer work.  where can I get support?  for example, I no longer have a working translator app (the one that OSX comes with *****)

PowerBook G4, Mac OS X (10.3.6)

There is no Dashboard support that I'm aware of.

Dashboard seems to have gotten little attention over the last few releases.  it's one of the features I find most useful

That's because Apple is in the process of phasing it out.  It probably will not be in the 10.12 upgrade when it eventually comes out.

I'll be sadly disappointed.  I hope they replace the convenience of it with something else then otherwise I'll find the OS less useful.  there's nothing like being able to swipe left and have immediate access to my dictionary, my translator, my calculator, my little javascript console, my tea timer, gold chart, etc.  these are some of the most useful tools for me and I can get to them easily no matter how many windows I have open
