Jan 8, 2016 9:21 AM in response to AG11406by ChitlinsCC,Apple ID can seem complicated > I would study this to get a feel for its attributes, etc > http://www.apple.com/support/appleid/
In short,
- your "UserName" (which has an invisible number associated = the REAL Apple ID) is what is considered your Apple ID
- Your "Primary Email Address" (what you ENTER when logging in) is your "identifier" - it can be changed without affecting anything
- Apple IDs cannot be merged - i.e., stuff associated cannot be combined
- stuff associated with an Apple ID cannot be "transferred" to another Apple ID
To reclaim an email address from an Apple ID for use with another New or existing Apple ID, you need to "change" the Primary email address of the unwanted Apple ID to free up the desired email address

Jan 9, 2016 12:49 AM in response to ChitlinsCCby AG11406,I changed the primary email in the unwanted account succesfully with another one so as to free that email (apple id) but when I tried to use the email in the desired apple account still i got the message that this apple id is in use. The strange thing is that if I try to log in with the undesired apple id I got a message that there is no such apple id. Please advise.
