Q: I have this weird issue with my MacBook. When I connect via LAN, my internet speed is very slow but when I connect with the wireless, it gets very fast. When others connect via the same LAN cable, they experience greater speed than I. Any help?

    Hello Gbeminiyi,

    I understand that you are having slow speeds over Ethernet vs Wi-Fi. let's see if we can figure out what is going on here. 

    The place I would start is to try a different network location. This is done in System Preference > Network. A new location is used if you in theory have different network setups depending on where you live or work. Creating a new location will generate a new ethernet connection that does not have the same setup as you currently have. Take a look at the article below to walk you through how to set this up. Then it is a matter of testing.
