I'm trying to tweak around the preferences and browsing on the web if there is a way to display line numbers in the default TextEdit application. I couldn't find any, how is it possible to display line number?
OS: Mac OS X El Capitan
MacBook Air (13-inch, Early 2015), iOS 9.2
I should also mention in TextEdit
View > Text Display >show/hide line numbers (also available in the "T" icon in the bar at the top of a document)
You do not need to add them to the actual text of the document.
Oops, I meant TextWrangler.
No, but the free TextWrangler has Add/Remove Line numbers under the Text Menu Item, you could copy from TE & paste into TW. 🙂
Or if you don't want to copy and paste, right click the TE file and open with TW.
