Airdrop not working

System El Capitan iPhone 6 v9.2. I have photos on my iPhone that I want to transfer to my MacBook Pro Retina. WhenI open Airdrop, my iPhone is displayed (grey) On my iPhone, I checked the photo, but there is no place to send it to, my Macbook is not visible. I've done all the usual, shut off BT, deleted plist, turn on, turn off wifi, turn on wifi, same thing. What am I missing. I guess back to emailing all the photos 😟
