how do i switch language while texting on iPhone 6s? with the 5s we had an icon on the texting box...

Follow the directions here: Get help with the keyboard on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support
Add the second keyboard and then the globe icon will be visible. -AJ

Settings > General > Keyboard > Keyboards. Choose the keyboard of the language you need.-AJ
